Inkscape < VIDEOS >

Inkscape (available at https://www.inkscape.org) is a free vector art program that I use for some very specific tasks.

Inkscape is a free, open-source vector graphics editor used to create and edit scalable, high-quality illustrations, logos, diagrams, and technical drawings. It primarily uses the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format, allowing designs to be resized without losing quality. It acts as a professional, cross-platform alternative to Adobe Illustrator for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

I’ll give you a quick tour of some easy to accomplish tasks, easy once you know where the right buttons are. This program has always felt like I’m driving in Europe or something, it’s all sort of on the opposite side. Once you get the hang of where they stash things, it’s a breeze.

One thing I love Inkscape for is quickly converting a GIF to an SVG so I can use it in Blender. Here’s a sneak peak at that.
