So I finally found a good one for free on printables with a very nice video that really explains what’s happening INSIDE, although I am finding the actual ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS quite lacking, as in nonexistent. You get the video and a parts list… and one stl for each part, but no number of how many of each part or a break apart diagram or …nada.. excellent YT video though, very educational and i love it. So here is the accompaniment, should anyone find themselves in need. Very satisfying venture/project… I really hope I can get it to work, and add the lil board he shows at the end of the video to also be able to charge my phone. Here we go…

this second video start it at 14 minutes 8 seconds, he gives a lot of good shots of assembling the lil hand crank, where to put the spacers, etc.
Bearings – the dimensions he lists are the 6804 and the 6000 series, the ending can vary on the 6000 series
Wire – when he says 0.4mm, that means 26 AWG for the winding wire, that’s enamel coated,
Red and Black wire is 20 AWG
The rest of it, comes up in Amazon just like he has it in the list of things you need, so easy peasy. Geez, I miss Radio Shack. But Amazon is just like Radio Shack to your front door I guess.
Upon going through this project, I have found it requires a pretty good amount of soldering, which you know, not everyone loves. So I have tried to find an easier way to get it going. If what it is that you are building with the 4 diodes soldered into a configuration that feels like a freaking dreamcatcher and stuff it into a teeny weeny lil corner, yea, I found a lil bridge rectifier pre-built easy to order $5, let’s give that a whirl. Doesn’t seem like the capacitor bundle can be replaced or bought pre-soldered together, so you just gotta do that one. But the bridge rectifier could make this project actually doable for a lot more people. Otherwise, it requires a pretty good comfortability with soldering to get her done.
